Searching: If you know a person's "Page" from the Name Index, you can enter the page (eg. 002-020) in the search field to see what items the person purchased. To search by date and shopper name, select 'Widen Page' and enter name or date in search box.
Columns: "Page" is given as ppp-nn, where ppp is the page in the Daybook and nn is a sequential number for each shopper on that page. "#" is a sequential number for each item purchased by the shopper. "Cr?" is 'Yes' if the entry is a credit to the shopper (ie. the shopper sells the store some produce). "Amt" is the quantity of an item. "Unit" is the unit of measure of the item. "Rate" is the cost per unit. The format is often @S/d where 'S' is Shillings and 'd' is pence per unit of the item. "Cost" is given in Pounds Shillings Pence (P S d). "Other" is other text that appears in the line entry. Transcribers' notes are enclosed in brackets [].
