Classic OCHS Article Series
The website will highlight some classic articles from the past. The first to be featured is Richard J. Koke's series of five articles that appeared in Volumes 19 -23 of the OCHS Journal between 1990 and 1994. These articles will be presented in twelve sections over the next year. The fourth of twelve in the series is now available: "The Clove Taverns"

Clif Patrick, municipal Historian for the Town of Chester, recently gave a presentation on the 100 years of Chester's 1915 Erie Station.
Richard Hull, OCHS Member and NYU Professor, has recently presented lectures on the Orange County community of Kiryas Joel. His next lecture on the Satmar will be March 15th, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Congregation Eitz Chaim, 1465 Orange Turnpike, Monroe, NY 10949.
The Monroe Historical Society program for March will feature Rena Corey and Bill Noxon, authors of the Red Star Diary. Based on a diary written in 1916, it covers Monroe, Woodbury, and the New York City area. Autographed copies of the book will be available for purchase following the program.
March 14th at 2:00 PM at the TMACC (the former Monroe Movie Theater), 24 Mill Pond Parkway, Monroe - Theater # 6 on the 3rd floor.
